After Hours At The Bakery

Tick tock the clock strikes four
the mice they dance across the floor
the cats they play, they want to see
The way they move so effortlessly
the room is dim, only candles lit
The cats they plan, they use their wit ...

Tick tock the clock strikes five
The cats they jump, they make a dive
The mice keep dancing, they do not know
stepping and turning as the candles glow
The cats creep up, they make no sound
Clever and smart, they are not found ...

Tick tock the clock strikes six
The cats prepare, they know some tricks
In the kitchen, they plan the attack
they do not realize what they lack
ready to move, they make their way
this is going to be a glorious day ...

Tick tock the clock strikes seven
The cats will send the mice to heaven
In the kitchen, the cats they play
They need to focus, no other way
flour flying everywhere
The mice dont know and do not care ...

Tick tock the clock strikes eight
Playing is fun, the mice can wait
They make a mess, no need to stop
The baker is going to need a mop
the cats they find some self control
Around the dining room, they begin to patrol ...

Tick tock the clock strikes nine
the music plays in perfect time
the cats begin to listen now
They turn and look and begin to bow
The music takes over, they begin to dance
the melody has them under a trance ...

Tick tock the clock strikes ten
The music stopped, they dont know when
Its time to leave, they shuffle out
They leave no trace of any doubt
they will return, when the time is right
the music will be magic in the night ...

Tick tock the clock strikes eleven
the baker walks in wishing for seven
In his bed he'd like be
Away from the mess he does see
Scratching his head, he does not know
The cats and mice who put on a show
