I was inspired to write this poem by the wedding of one of my best friends.
This Poem is for you, Gina Marie and Christopher! I Love You!!! :D
I've also written it in the first person from Gina's Point of View. I couldn't be there, so I gave myself a shout out :D
The vows we take we will never break
So far we've come look at us now
You're hand forever, mine to take
I love you more than words can say
Don't believe me? Look inside your heart
The world is there but only me
I will be the one when you're falling apart
I'll give you every bit of my life, forever see
Nothing can stop us, the world is ours
The time is closer, you will be only mine
Time is ticking fast, no more hours
I'm getting ready, all my girls are here
The one who isn't, I love her dear
She knows it won't be the same without her
But her wishes of love and happiness I needed to hear
I watch completely as we all get dressed
I savor the moment, trying to never forget
I love my hair the curls they fall
My eyes are sparkling, the tears are falling, my face is wet
I've waited so long to make that walk
Planned it for years and Dreampt my dream
I am ready now more than I ever was
Take me now and let us live my dream
My heart is pounding at the speed of light
The butterflies are no longer in my tummy
Now they seem to be all over my body
I want to see you, my baby hunny
As I take one last look
My reflection I stare at and your heart is mine
I smile in knowing it's for eternity
Our love will only grow through passing time
I realize now that I must Go
To find you waiting dashing and dear
I am ready now, the nerves have gone
My life is yours for you to see clear
As we say our vows we hold so true
We mean what we say to the very core
Word for word and love for love
We promise from now until forevermore.
